Conscious Streetwear that Transforms Hearts & Minds

This is such special episode with my friend, Drew Sanders @dasthegreat, and founder of The Aware Brand @theawarebrand – a conscious streetwear clothing company that turns heads and transforms hearts and minds. I have the unique pleasure of talking with Drew about his humble journey from interning in the music industry to now leading his own retail company with distribution across the country. Most importantly, though, we take a deep dive into Drew’s past to uncover how he intentionally engaged forgiveness as a tool to unlock his metaphysical path. By being vulnerable with him self and loved ones, he now unapologetically lives in his truth and in turn, encourages a global Aware Movement with his lifestyle brand.

About Our Guest:

Drew Sanders graduated from Tuskegee University. He started his entrepreneurship journey when he was in college where he started managing artist and organizing parties. After college he worked in TV and film industry for 5 years and started a production company producing concert series for R&B music called RnBUntapped. In 2017, Drew and his childhood friend Richard Faison created a clothing line The Aware Brand and later joined by his college friend Omar Dismuke II as the Head of Design. Now The Aware Brand can be seen on 40 Foot Locker stores. He’s also been featured in GQ magazine, Esquire, CBS show “The Neighborhood,” Rolling Out Magazine.
